Dates
November 6–8, 2026. Submission deadline: Sunday, November 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET. The event is in person at McVey Data Science Building, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
Eligibility
Miami University students only. Teams must have 3–5 members.
Project rules
AI tools are allowed, but teams must disclose their use. Public libraries and APIs are allowed, and Kickstarter is allowed. Do not submit a pre-built product. The repository must be created or made available after Saturday, November 7 at 10:00 AM ET. Submit a demo video no longer than 2 minutes and disclose which data, services, and integrations are real versus mocked.
Finals and judging
The finals feature the top 5 teams. Each finalist has 4 minutes to pitch followed by 3 minutes of Q&A.
Conduct
Participants must follow applicable laws and Miami University policies and treat participants, organizers, mentors, and judges respectfully.
